This policy covers thespottedjames.com. It explains what we collect when you fill in a form on this site, who else sees it, and how to ask us to delete it. We keep this short and specific on purpose.

What We Collect

We only collect what you type into a form. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers on this website. We do not use cookies to track you across sites.

• Contact form (contact.html): your name, email, reason for contact, and message. If you apply for a job or submit a DJ mix, we also collect the position, your phone number, availability, earliest start date, social media links, a link to your mix, and your confirmation that you are 21 or older.
• Private events and bookings (parties.html): your name, email, phone, event date, headcount, occasion, budget, how you heard about us, and any notes you add.
• Name Night reminders (name-night.html): your first name, email, and whether you opted in to marketing. The name suggestion form collects a first name to feature, and optionally your email and a message.
• Dart league signup (dart-league.html): your name, email, optional phone, skill level, preferred night, whether you would bring teammates, your 21+ confirmation, and any notes.
• Giveaway entries (giveaway.html): your name, email, optional phone, your 21+ confirmation, and whether you opted in to marketing.

Every form also records the page you submitted from and the time you submitted it. We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this site. Merch is pickup only and paid in person at the bar.

Who Else Sees It

We use two outside companies to receive form submissions. Your information passes through their systems and is stored there:

• Web3Forms delivers most form submissions to us by email. See web3forms.com/privacy.
• Google (Apps Script and Google Sheets) stores Name Night and giveaway submissions in a private spreadsheet we control. See policies.google.com/privacy.

Our website is hosted by GitHub Pages, which may log standard request data such as IP addresses as part of serving the site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

How We Use It

We use what you send to answer your message, quote and run your event, add you to a league or reminder list, or run a giveaway and contact the winner. We send marketing messages about events and specials only to people who opted in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing does not affect a booking or an entry you have already made.

How Long We Keep It

Booking and event enquiries are kept for up to two years so we can handle repeat events. Job and DJ applications are kept for one year. Giveaway entries are kept for one year after the drawing. Marketing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.

Your Rights

Under the Colorado Privacy Act, and similar laws in other states, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or give you a copy. You can also opt out of marketing at any time. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Email us at the address below and say what you want. We will confirm your request and respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity first, usually by replying from the email address you originally used.

Age

The Spotted James is a 21+ venue. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this site, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
